*afghan refugees*
The arrival of new Afghan refugees presents an ongoing chapter in the work of resettlement begun in the late '90s after the Taliban presented major oppressions of citizens. These included many from pakistan, turkmenistan and neighboring countries.
The current wave represents many products of those 20 years, with many developing lives under the freedom of the post invasion changes. welcoming them affirms our promise of fostering, nurturing and expanding the afghan accomplishments in this next critical time.
Friends of Afghanistan represents the energy and experience of hundreds of peace corps veterans worldwide who have supported the people of Afghanistan in a continuation of their work there. They have nurtured hundreds of works there and worldwide under the blanket of freedom post 911 and will be key players in the new wave.
The facebook site offers an updated news forum on current events from the national scene
