Burma Karen Moslem
Fort Wayne had several "post88" Karen community members but a large ingress began in 2008 as Thai/U.S. project began to close some of the long term camps on the Thai-Burma border. Many were forced out of Burma decades ago and often lived long-term in the camps. Their religion is Islam and language is Karen

On 12-26-2010 the community formed The Burmese Muslim Community of Indiana, Inc. to promote and assist in community efforts. Two offices now function-see below
